A chilling audio from authorities in Baltimore, USA, reveals what was said seconds before the ship collided with the bridge pillar that ended up collapsing, according to the report. DailyMail.

“There is a ship approaching that has just lost its direction. So, until we can control it, we have to stop all traffic”, the audio says.

“The whole bridge collapsed. Start, start whoever you are… everyone. The bridge collapsed”, was still heard.

The crew issued a mayday call moments before the crash, allowing authorities to limit traffic, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore said.

The ship hit one of the bridge’s supports, causing the structure to collapse and fall into the water within seconds. The vessel caught fire.

With the ship heading toward the bridge at “a very, very fast speed,” authorities had just enough time to stop cars from passing over the bridge, the governor said.

“These people are heroes. They saved lives last night,” he added.

“We never thought we would physically see the Key Bridge fall like that. It was like something out of an action movie,” said Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott, calling it “an unthinkable tragedy.”
