The Neighborhood Association of Bairro das Andorinhas, in Braga, has already started offering free psychology consultations to residents. This initiative aims to provide accessible psychological support to the community, helping residents deal with emotional and mental issues.

According to those responsible for the Residents’ Association, “this initiative was long awaited by everyone, both management and residents, as we are increasingly committed to promoting the well-being of our community and at the same time we are seeking to reduce barriers to accessing mental health care.”

The consultations are led by Patrícia Ferreira, a psychologist with extensive experience in the social area, who is already working in the field, and thanks “those responsible for the project for having been chosen to work with the residents of one of the best neighborhoods in Braga, and I am I am certain that together we will improve the quality of life of residents.”

The services offered cover a variety of areas, including individual counseling, family and couples therapy, stress management, anxiety and depression, among others, and are open to all ages.

“March 23, 2024 will forever be marked in the most beautiful pages of Bairro das Andorinhas, as it is the first time that we have been able to offer a psychologist to the residents”, added João Ricardo Silva, coordinator of the ‘Viva das Andorinhas’ project.

It is from the second edition of this project that this activity from the ‘Viva o Bairro’ program appears, which is financed by BragaHabit with the support of the Municipality of Braga, and which runs until the end of December in Bairro das Andorinhas.
