The Federal Police reported that they escorted a Brazilian, extradited by Portugal, back to Brazil on Tuesday, March 26. The individual was arrested in the European country for having published a Red Diffusion against him.

The International Cooperation Center of the Federal Police in Minas Gerais published the international alert on September 18, 2023, which placed the fugitive’s name on the international wanted list.

The man has a preventive arrest warrant against him, issued by the Court of the Criminal Court for Children and Youth and Civil and Criminal Precautions of the District of Itambacuri/MG, for the crime of robbery, committed on April 25, 2017, in the city of Frei Gaspar/MG.

The prisoner was delivered by the Portuguese authorities to Lisbon Airport, the capital of Portugal, and brought on a direct flight to Belo Horizonte International Airport, in Confins, Minas Gerais. Given the situation, he will be sent to the prison system and will be available to the courts.
