Viseu Volunteer Firefighters are one of the institutions that have already made the appeal. Taxpayers have until Sunday to choose the entity to which they wish to donate part of their IRS

Several volunteer fire brigades in the district of Viseu are appealing to the region’s populations to donate 0.5 percent of the IRS amount. One of these institutions is the Viseu Volunteer Firefighters, who ask for the generosity of the municipality’s taxpayers.
“The Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Viseu is experiencing times of some financial difficulty where even the smallest help counts. We want to continue serving the population of the municipality with the same operability, efficiency and dignity that they deserve, which is why we need to guarantee the necessary and sufficient conditions for this purpose”, reads the corporation’s statement.
Viseu Volunteers add that residents who donate 0.5% of their IRS “will not pay more, if additional tax is required, nor will they receive less, if they are entitled to a refund”.
“The money will be taken from the amount of tax allocated to the State and forwarded by it to the Fire Department”, says the institution, which will use the IRS money to purchase and renew equipment and aid “that will enable better emergency intervention” .
IRS consignment does not involve any cost. Taxpayers have until this Sunday (March 31) to choose the entity to which they wish to donate part of their IRS. In order to complete the consignment, they must fill in the tax identification number (TIN) of the beneficiary entity in field 1101 of table 11 of model 3 of the income declaration.
The Viseu Volunteers have NIF 501 082 158. In addition to the corporation, other humanitarian associations in the district are also making the same appeal, such as the Firefighters of Santa Comba Dão (NIF 500 971 307), Castro Daire (501 081 860), from Lamego (501 242 210), from Nespereira (501 158 324) and from Farejinhas (501 231 510).
The Volunteers of Canas de Senhorim (NIF 501 138 358), Resende (501 207 759), Cabanas de Viriato (501 397 647), Carregal do Sal (501 191 925), Mangualde (501 138 838) also launched fundraising campaigns. ), Moimenta da Beira (501 104 240), Mortágua (501 172 580), São João da Pesqueira (501 422 820), Tabuaço (501 421 432) and Vale de Besteiros (500 865 094).
