Young man arrested for drug trafficking

In a statement, the Bragança Territorial Command, through the Miranda do Douro Territorial Detachment, reveals that the arrest occurred following an investigation, in which the Guard military carried out police measures that allowed the suspect to be located and identified.

“As part of the police investigation, a personal security search was carried out on the suspect who was in possession of 28 doses of hashish”, adds the GNR note.

During the action, a search was also carried out at the suspect’s residence, which culminated in the seizure of 54 doses of hashish, 70 euros in cash, 39 airtight plastic bags for packaging narcotic products, a precision scale, a pair of scissors used in the cutting of narcotic product and a cell phone.

The detainee was named a defendant and the facts were communicated to the Miranda do Douro Judicial Court.

The police operation was reinforced by military personnel from the Criminal Investigation Center (NIC) and the Miranda do Douro Territorial Post.
