Porto is the city with the best tourist reputation in Portugal

The city of Porto is at the top of the brands with the best reputation in the country. This is the conclusion reached by the RepScore study 2024, from the consultancy OnStategy, referring to the “tourism cities and regions” sectors. Within the scope of the “public health” sector, Hospital de São João, which had already been distinguished in 2021 and 2022, is also once again the health institution most trusted by the Portuguese.

In terms of tourism cities and regions, Porto and the Porto and North Tourism Region lead the top ten brands with the best reputation in Portugal. According to the study, which included the participation of 50 thousand respondents and more than two thousand brands audited, Invicta achieved an evaluation of 74.3 points out of a possible 100. Viana do Castelo (74.1 points) and Aveiro (74 points) follow.

Lisbon (73.5 points), Ponta Delgada (73.3 points) and Braga (73.2 points) are the cities that occupy third, fourth and fifth places, respectively, followed by Funchal (73.1 points) , Leiria (73 points), Viseu (73 points) and Coimbra (72.9 points), making up the remaining ranking of cities with the best national reputation.

In terms of regions, Porto and Northern Portugal Tourism achieved a rating of 74.5 points. The ranking also includes the tourism regions of Lisbon (74.2 points), Azores (74.1 points), Central Portugal (73.7 points), Madeira (73.6 points), Cascais (73.1 points) , Algarve (72.8 points) and Alentejo and Ribatejo (72.4 points).

The study, which has been prepared since 2009, involved the participation of more than 50 thousand citizens, who spontaneously evaluated more than two thousand brands, associated with more than 70 sectors of economic activity.

In this context, the Saint John’s Hospital stands out again in the area of ​​public health, deserving the trust of the Portuguese. This had already happened in 2021 and 2022. Now, on the same scale (of 100 points), “São João” collects 75.2 points. Hospital Egas Moniz, in Lisbon (74.4 points), and Hospital Beatriz Ângelo, in Loures (73.1) they occupy second and third place, respectively.
