The Vidigueira Vinho event starts this Friday, the 29th, organized by the City Council to “promote the wine sector, as well as other excellent products from the municipality and traditional gastronomy”.
Concerts, showcookings, wine tastings and pairings, themed gatherings and an exhibition/sale of agri-food and craft products are some of the highlights of the initiative, which will feature the presence of several wine producers, mostly from Alentejo, but also from the Azores, Douro , Moldova and Georgia.
Vidigueira Vinho will run until Sunday, 31st, at the local Multipurpose Pavilion, with the opening session scheduled for 11am this Friday, 29th.
In addition to several traditional music shows and Alentejo singing throughout these three days, Raquel Tavares and Los Romeros & Big Band (this Friday, 29th) and Matias Damásio (Saturday, 30th) will also perform on the stage, always starting from from 10:30 p.m.
For Sunday, 31st, from 2pm, the live broadcast of the program “Somos Portugal”, on TVI, is scheduled.
