There’s the poster for the 43rd Rampa da Falperra, one of the biggest races of its kind on the Iberian Peninsula. The race will take place on the 17th, 18th and 19th of May, with Braga and Falperra as the epicenter.
The organization is in charge of the Clube Automóvel do Minho (CAM) and tickets for the event are now available.
FALPERRA RAMP
The route is 5.2 kilometers long and rises 262 meters, from the beginning at kilometer 39 of the EN309 to its end at the base of the Sameiro Sanctuary.
The name of the ramp comes from the surrounding area (Falperra).
The race is part of the FIA European Mountain Championship calendar and also counts towards the Portuguese and Spanish National Mountain Championships.
It had its first edition in 1927.
It is the most popular mountain race in Portugal, marked by an authentic pilgrimage of 200,000 people (on average) during the race weekend, including many Spaniards, among other nationalities.
The edition is, nowadays, participated by various types of cars and classes, with the list comprising approximately 180 drivers in each edition.
