The circuits aim to meet the needs of those who need to travel within the city center and access some of its main public services (health center, hospital, Social Security, Aveiro City Council). The two new urban linesAveirobus, operated by Transdev, came into force this Monday, April 1st. Until tomorrow, Tuesday, travel in Centro Azul and Centro Verdeare free – from Wednesday onwards, the usual tariff applies.
To mark the entry into force of these new circuitsO President of Aveiro City Council, José Ribau Esteves, and the ddirector of OTransdev operations, José Portelada, fdid an inaugural trip on the Centro Verde Line, leaving from Cais da Fonte Nova (next to the Aveiro Congress Center).
“We increased the cost of parking in the most central areas, we kept parking in peripheral parks free of charge and we created two lines that serve the areas that have the most potential for passenger production, so that circulation in this most central area of the city is carried out in a fast, in both directions, and covering a very large period of the day. The logic is for people to move around the city comfortably and quickly”, highlighted Ribau Esteves, regarding this new transport offer. “The idea is for people to use their cars less in the city center”, he stressed.
