Three men were arrested for the crime of qualified theft of agricultural material and machinery parts, last Saturday, in Mirandela.
According to information from the Bragança PSP command, the arrests occurred following an intervention by the Police, when they responded to information that several individuals were being held in a commercial establishment in the city. “After a prompt intervention, three male suspects, aged between 17 and 34, were arrested and a minor under 12 years old was identified for committing the crime of qualified theft of agricultural material and machinery parts,” he said. Bragança’s command in a press release.
The owner of the objects, upon noticing the disappearance of the material from the store, ended up recognizing it in the trunk of a car parked nearby, and immediately called the PSP. “Upon arriving at the scene, the police managed to intercept the suspects, recovering and seizing the stolen material, which was later delivered to its rightful owner” explains the same note.
Among the items recovered were various machinery, such as a tracked machine reducer, oil pump, plows from a motor cultivator, and other materials and parts. The PSP indicated that the stolen items had a value of around 10,000 euros.
After formalizing the complaint and collecting evidence related to the theft, the detained suspects were released, and the file was sent to the Judicial Authority, which will continue the investigation.
