Young man detained in Coimbra for drug trafficking: he threw doses of hashish on the ground to try to escape

The Security Police Police arrested a young man for the crime of drug trafficking on Sunday night (31) in Jardim da Sereia, in Coimbra. Officers went to the location following complaints of an episode of disorder involving several individuals.

The man, carrying drugs, when he saw the police vehicle, “ran to a bench there, threw a small object on the floor and sat down next to the other individuals who were on the bench”, the PSP said in a statement. . It was there that he was asked by the police if he was carrying anything illegal. He denied it, but the agents, when checking the object he had thrown moments before, realized that it was hashish.

After analysis, it was proven that it was hashish in sufficient quantity for 40 doses.

Figueira da Foz had two more arrests

At district level there were two other arrests: the first in the early hours of Saturday, at 3:24 am, on Passeio Infante D. Henrique, in Figueira da Foz, when a 46-year-old man was intercepted by agents. After undergoing an alcohol test, the driver had a blood alcohol level of 1.31 grams per liter.

On Sunday, around 6pm, a 39-year-old man was arrested, also in Figueira da Foz, for driving without a license.
