ETIC_Algarve | More than 120 Trainees develop Content for Institutions in the Algarve

LÁBIA Week provides a multidisciplinary experience with concrete results for 6 local institutions.

During an intense week full of creativity, the Algarve School of Innovation and Creation Technologies, ETIC_Algarve, organized another edition of LÁBIA Week, an event that brought together more than 120 students from different courses to collaborate on multidisciplinary projects with six institutions in the Algarve .

For ETIC_Algarve, LÁBIA Week “It is always a moment of special significance, with an impact on our graduates, since the members of the 2-year technical course classes are integrated into interdisciplinary working groups, promoting the interconnection of skills, creative areas and also the development of social skills, putting their know-how at the service of society”.

It was under the guidance of five experienced tutors that the graduates of the 10 classes of the Directing, Cinema and TV courses; Communication and Multimedia Design; Video Games; Creation, Production and Sound Techniques; and Professional Photography joined forces to create a variety of projects and digital products, ranging from the creation of logos and visual identity, through photographs, motion design, advertising and institutional videos, advertising campaigns, virtual visits, interactive games and much more.

Alongside these projects, computers were also donated to some of the institutions with the development of a training component for the beneficiaries of these institutions to be planned in the near future.

The six beneficiary organizations of Semana LÁBIA included the Faro Film ClubO Horta da Areia Community CenterO Elaine Baine Family TrustThe Forest Jump AssociationThe Association for the Protection of Girls and Families and the São Brás de Alportel Costume Museum. Throughout the week, the trainees worked closely with representatives from these institutions to understand their needs and develop creative solutions that met their expectations and needs.

“This week was a unique opportunity for our trainees to apply their knowledge and creativity, in a real context of teamwork, which brought together trainees from different courses, from the 1st and 2nd years, promoting at the same time their technical, professional and social”, said Nuno Ribeiro, Director of ETIC_Algarve, reinforcing that the school “is extremely proud of the professionalism, specialization and creativity demonstrated by the graduates during this Week.”

For the beneficiary institutions, the results were “impressive and leave us with few words to describe the commitment and professionalism”, with which each group of trainees got involved to create high-quality content, which will be duly implemented in the future. Also the importance of the work carried out by ETIC_Algarve in creating and providing access to high quality digital content for civil society was widely praised by everyone involved.

With the end of LÁBIA Week, ETIC_Algarve will continue to work closely with institutions to ensure continued involvement and the successful implementation of projects developed by trainees.
