The teaser for the documentary “O Visconde Indomável” was awarded by World Media Festivals, in the “Marketing and Promotions: Teasers and Trailers” category, as winner of the 2024 edition, which registered 844 entries from 32 nations, two from Portugal (Lisbon and Madeira).

The documentary portrays the life and work of Francisco Correia de Herédia, Viscount of Ribeira Brava, a unique personality from the 19th and 20th centuries, with great influence on the Establishment of the Republic.

President of Vidigueira City Council, he was also a former civil governor of the districts of Beja, Bragança and Lisbon and president of several organizations in Ribeira Brava, having played a fundamental role in the development of the places where he held office.

Produced by Episode Proeza Filmes, directed by José Abrantes, photography directed by João Santos, the documentary features the participation of Inês de Herédia, actress and great-great-granddaughter of Francisco Correia de Herédia, and Madeiran actors Eduardo Luís and Rui Vieira.

Financed by the Regional Government of Madeira, by the Municipalities of Ribeira Brava, Funchal, Lisbon and Vidigueira, and by Radio Televisão de Portugal, it will be shown on RTP, on a date to be announced.

The award will be presented to Episode Proeza Filmes, on May 29, in Hamburg, at the annual World Media Festivals festival.
