The parish of Lamaçães, in Braga, once again celebrated, this Monday, the traditional “Zirra-Zirra” festival.

With scaffolds and dozens of figures, the procession is one of the highlights of the festival. He took to the streets of that parish again, continuing the tradition at Easter time.

According to the municipality, this is a festival of a religious nature that arose as “thanks” for the parish having been “spared”, in 1570, from the Black Death.

Braga City Councilor João Rodrigues was present at the religious procession, which traveled along the main arteries of the parish. This centuries-old tradition takes place on the Monday after Easter.
