“Together we go further” is the motto of the 13th walk of AIA Braga – Association for Inclusion and Support for Autistic People, a solidarity initiative that will take place on April 14th, starting at 10 am, on Avenida Central.

With the support of Câmara Braga, this is an activity that aims to raise awareness of autism in the community and, at the same time, raise funds for the association.

Those interested in participating can register at any Pingo Doce store in the region or at the AIA facilities, with a symbolic cost of 2.5 euros. The walk’s godmother is Rosa Mota and the money raised goes towards financing the association’s initiatives.

In the presentation of the walk, which took place this Monday, the president of Braga City Council, Ricardo Rio, highlighted the work that AIA carries out with people with autism and their families. The mayor also warned of the need to create supportive public policies and structured responses accessible to everyone.

The presentation was also attended by the president of the AIA, Eduardo Ribeiro, Rosa Mota and Rui Matos, representing Pingo Doce/Jerónimo Martins.
