EPCG | Registration Open for the mythical ALTE BTT and ALTE TRAIL! April 25

On April 25th, let’s all RIDE, RUN or WALK and discover the diversity of another Algarve!
The mythical BTT ALTE celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, the year in which the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April is celebrated.

To mark this event, the departure of the ALTE mountain bike returns to the center of the beautiful village of Alte, where it all began, on April 25, 1999.

This 25th edition of BTT ALTE and 8th edition of ALTE TRAIL will take place, in its entirety, in the fantastic territory of the Algarvensis Geopark, an aspiring UNESCO World Geopark, which will be in its splendor in spring, and will have the following classes, levels and distances:

COMPETITION CLASS:

– Algarve XCM Regional Cup – 65 km

LEISURE CLASSES:

– Classic Tour – 25 km

– Half Marathon – 45 km

– Marathon – 65 km

– Trail / Walk – 14 km

The arrival point will be the beautiful Fonte Grande de Alte, next to a permanent water spring, which is a discharge area for one of the Algarve’s greatest resources, the Querença – Silves underground aquifer.

In this fantastic meeting space, the convivial lunch will take place, which this year will be served by the Gastronomic Festival Tasquinhas.

O Cock with Grain or the Corn Dinner These will be some of the specialties served by the Tasquinhas, which this year, together with the Mercadinho and lots of Musical Entertainment, will liven up Fonte Grande.

In an organization of Alte Professional School, CIPRLwith the special support of the Algarve Cycling Association, the Alte Parish Council and the Municipality of Loulé, the event is part of the Alte Arts and Culture Week Program, a week that, due to the diversity of activities promoted, attracts hundreds of athletes and other participants from all over the country, who come to discover the territory and transform the village into a space of entertainment, with lots of music, gastronomy and crafts from the region, where the BTT and Village PARTY take place.
