The course is promoted by the Institute of the National Archives of Cape Verde in partnership with the National Institute of Administration of Portugal, with financial support from Portuguese cooperation through Camões, Institute of Cooperation and Language.
Those responsible for archive management and digital transition in several Cape Verdean entities will receive training in the areas of document management, data management, digital transformation and data protection.
The Minister of Culture and Creative Industries of Cape Verde, Abraão Vicente, who presided over the opening of the course today, said that the training is in line with the commitment to digital governance, making data and processes “accessible at any time and anywhere ”.
“We are training our human resources so that this digitalization process is fully understood”, he maintained.
Paulo Lourenço, Portuguese ambassador to Cape Verde, pointed to the project as an example of the “commitment of Portuguese cooperation to a more efficient and modern Cape Verdean public service, in line with the priorities recommended by the Government” of the archipelago.
