UA public prosecutor, accused of sexual harassment by a colleague, was preventively suspended from his duties last Thursday, according to Jornal de Notícias.

“The disciplinary process is ongoing”stated the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic to the same newspaper.

The suspect, coordinating prosecutor of the Judicial Court of the District of Beja, will answer for crimes of persecution and defamation.

It should be remembered that the case became known on April 19 last year, after a complaint filed by the victim with the Évora Regional Attorney General’s Office, reporting that she was the target of sexual harassment by her colleague.

The judge accused the prosecutor of sexual harassment, which lasted for several months in court and then escalated to text messages.
