APRIL 25 (Celebrations) – Young students from Vila Verde gather this morning in ‘Youth Municipal Assembly’

Representatives from the different levels of education in the municipality of Vila Verde will speak this Wednesday at the Municipal Youth Assembly, questioning the president of the municipal executive, Júlia Rodrigues Fernandes, on various topics.

The session is scheduled to start at 10 am this Wednesday, with around a hundred students attending the main hall of the Town Hall.

The session will also be marked by the presentation of the giant book “Herdeiros de Abril”, whose content included the participation of different school establishments.

The program celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April also features, at night, an unprecedented musical, which will take place at Adega Cultural, organized by the Academia de Música de Vila Verde, with the participation of elements from Escola Secundária, EPATV and of the municipality’s school groups.

On Thursday, the celebration of the 25th of April opens at 10 am, with the flag-raising ceremony in Praça do Município, with the Fanfare of the Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters.

The solemn commemorative session will take place at Adega Cultural, with entertainment from the Music Academy, the Vila de Prado Music School and Rogério Braga.

The commemorative program continues on Friday, with a day full of events, with the action “Todos à Manif”, which starts at 10 am from the House of Knowledge towards the Municipal Library, where soldiers from the 6th Cavalry Regiment will give guided tours of the exhibition of military vehicles and weapons.

At the Professor Machado Vilela Library, it will be possible to visit the exhibition of ‘Censured Books in the New State’, followed by a ceremony paying homage to a Vila Verdean who was a combatant in the colonial war and to the members of the two administrative commissions of the municipality appointed after the 25th of April .
