Are open applications for Summer CEmp 2024, the summer school of the European Commission Representation in Portugal. In what will be its seventh edition, the initiative aims to continue mobilizing young people around building a better Europe.
After passing through Ponte da Barca in the previous edition, in 2024 Summer CEmp will once again take place in the north of Portugal, more precisely in Miranda do Douroin the district of Bragança, running from August 28th to 31st.
This program is aimed at all students attending a higher education institution in the European Union in the current academic year and who have up to 30 years of age (including).
In a year marked by the European elections and the celebration of 50 years of democracy in Portugal, In 2024, Summer CEmp aims to highlight the importance of democratic participation and the concrete impact of the European Union on the lives of the Portuguese. The connection between citizens and European institutions is also strengthened and present and future challenges will be discussedbased on an analysis of the achievements of recent years, namely the European response to the challenges created by the pandemic and solidarity in the face of the return of war to the European continent.
The application is made by filling out the form which includes sending a video or a letter expressing the motivation to participate in the event. Applications must arrive until 11:59 pm (Lisbon time) on April 30, 2024 to be considered valid.
Of all valid applications received, Up to 40 will be selected to participatetaking into account the profile, motivation, contribution to diversity in the group and the potential for mobilization for greater participation in the European project.
