As part of the Celebrations of the 50th Anniversary of the 25th of April, the Entroncamento Municipal Gallery hosts, between April 25th and May 16th, the Exhibition “April Posters: celebrating every year” from the Ephemera Archive – José Pacheco Library and Archive Pereira and Entroncamento Municipal Chamber Archive.

Although the fiftieth anniversary of the April 1974 revolution constitutes a “round number”, and therefore particularly suitable for celebrating this constitutive event of Freedom and Democracy in Portugal, the construction of an open and participated society must be a continued task, at all times. the time. Therefore, every year and in the most diverse places, the 25th of April is celebrated, in different ways and by the most diverse entities.

In this exhibition, a brief overview of these events is presented through the posters that announced them, with a special focus on the iconography most associated with the Revolution (the carnations, the evocation of the MFA, the colors of the flag…) from the EPHEMERA Archive – Library and Archive of José Pacheco Pereira and the Entroncamento Municipal Council Archive.

The exhibition “Posters of April: celebrating every year”, will open on April 25th, at 11:30 am and can be visited until May 16th, from Tuesday to Friday, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and at Saturdays, from 10am to 1pm and from 2pm to 6pm.
