Ruben Aguiar’s wife breaks silence about the singer’s conviction – Ferver

Sentenced to a sentence of five years and six months in prison for running over a man in April last year and leaving the scene without providing assistance, he is reacting very badly to the court’s decision.

Isabel Pinto, the artist’s wife, confirmed that he considers the sentence to be unfair and disproportionate to the situation. “Ruben has suffered enough”he began by saying, in conversation with reporter Bruno Caetano, during the broadcast of ‘Dois à 10’, on TVI. “Ruben was attacked inside the prison, he was burned inside… He’s suffered enough, I think he’s had enough. If he was going to get the punishment, he’s already had enough punishment. He deserves a second chance”continued.

Isabel Pinto also revealed that she asked the court for Ruben Aguiar to be released so that he could participate in some concerts. “He is our only source of support. We have our expenses, and we have been making ends meet this whole year, but it gets to the point where we can no longer do it”he vented, stressing that there was no intentional run-over and that the alleged victim, contrary to what was said, was not facing away from the car at the time of the run-over.
