The Chamber of Póvoa opened a public tender for the construction of 48 apartments, intended for rent at controlled costs. The work has a base price of 6.1 million euros and is part of the Local Housing Strategy (ELH).
The 48 homes, of different types, will be built on Rua Alberto Oliveira, in Barreiros. The work has an execution period of 540 days [cerca de um ano e meio] and will be financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), under the 1st Right Program.
The houses, distributed over two blocks, are intended for supported rental.
In addition to this investment, another one budgeted at 2.7 million euros is planned to be made soon at ELH Poveira. There are 32 apartments to be built in Mariadeira. 26 dwellings are intended for rental and the remaining six for social emergency situations. They will be built on land that the Chamber purchased from the social solidarity institution “A Benênio”, located on Rua António Quilores.
