The “Skills of the Future Algarve” program will promote several training activities related to Tourism in the region, on a onlineduring the month of May, as well as a boot camp in person about the challenges of this sector.

The first training will be on “Energy efficiency: hotels and restaurants”, from 6pm to 9pm, between May 6th and 10th. “Communication on LinkedIn” will be the topic covered on the 8th, 9th and 10th of May, between 2pm and 5pm. On the 13th, 16th and 17th of May, from 10am to 12pm, participants will be able to learn about “People Management: in Tourism”. “Water efficiency in tourist developments: action plan” will be the topic of the training between the 13th and 16th of the same month, which will take place from 3pm to 6pm. The fifth training session of the program has as its content “Quality in customer service”, on the 13th, 15th, 16th and 17th, from 5pm to 8pm. Finally, “Sustainable resource management: best practices” will be discussed, between 6pm and 9pm on the 20th, 22nd, 23rd, 27th and 28th of May. All training actions are free and certified.

The in-person bootcamp takes place at the Algarve Hotel and Tourism School (Faro), on May 7th, from 11am to 3pm. The motto will be “Innovative approaches for sustainable management of water resources: challenges for tourism in the Algarve” and is aimed at businesspeople, directors, managers and entrepreneurs in the tourism sector.
