Braga Chamber begins phase 2 of repaving Quinta dos Congregados

Braga City Council announced the start of the second phase of repaving works on the residential blocks of Quinta dos Congregados for next Thursday, May 2nd.

In order to reduce the impact of the intervention on pedestrian circulation and road circulation, the municipality opted for a phasing consisting of 5 phases that are executed sequentially.

Among the various works planned, we highlight the replacement of road pavements and specific interventions on the surrounding sidewalks, aiming to provide them with accessibility conditions and also the planning of the space intended for parking.

• Phase 1: Complete cutting of Rua Dr. Aníbal Araújo Esmoriz and Av. Antero de Quental – completed by April 30th;
• Phase 2: Complete closure of Av. Antero de Quental, Rua Luis Soares Barbosa and Travessa Luís Soares Barbosa – May 2nd to May 19th;
• Phase 3: Complete cutting of Rua Luis Soares Barbosa – May 20th to June 26th;
• Phase 4: Full cut of Rua Fernando Oliveira Guimarães (until the intersection of Av. Antero de Quental) – June 27th to July 11th;
• Phase 5: Full cut of Rua Fernando Oliveira Guimarães (from the intersection of Av. Antero de Quental to the intersection with R. da Quinta Armada) – July 12th to July 22nd.
