-

Boat trips, walks to observe fauna and flora, traditional games, among other activities will liven up this open day, on May 4th.

The Ria Formosa Natural Park (PNRF) turns 46 and will celebrate, on May 4th, with an open day full of educational and fun activities for the whole family.

The open day offers a unique opportunity to get to know Ria Formosa better. Boat trips, routes for observing fauna and flora, slide and stand up paddle activities, traditional games, lectures and recreational-scientific activities are some examples of the offerings we have for our visitors.

With the exception of boat trips, all activities take place at the Marim Environmental Education Center (CEAM), in Olhão, and are offered by partner entities that celebrate the anniversary of the PNRF, in partnership with the Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests (ICNF).

The open day also includes the public presentation of the PNRF Co-management Plan, taking place from 11 am, in the CEAM auditorium, with the presence of the Regional Director of Nature Conservation and Forests of the Algarve, Castelão Rodrigues, and by the president of the Co-management Commission at PNRF, Rogério Bacalhau.

It is also suggested to visit the Olhão Fish Farming Pilot Station (EPPO) to find out more about aquaculture.

Some activities require prior registration, and it is advisable to consult the full program in advance.
