Another edition of Vila Praia em Flor is coming. From April 30th to May 5th, the heart of Vila Praia de Âncora transforms into an immense garden. Markets, exhibitions, music, dance, children’s entertainment and workshops, among other initiatives, fill the six days of the event with color and joy.
Organized by Caminha City Council, Vila Praia de Âncora Parish Council and Grupo de Amigos das Maias, Vila Praia em Flor 2024 is preparing yet another intense and varied program, with proposals for all ages, where flowers are the common denominator .
Praça da República is, as a rule, the epicenter of the festival, where the Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Bonança stands out, profusely framed with flowers. And this year will be no exception. But the flower decorations are not limited to the Square, nor are the multiple activities. The carousel, for example, a free play space for children, will be installed in Parque Dr. Luís Ramos Pereira, Vila Praia de Âncora, next to the beach, in an idyllic setting at any time of year.
Highlight for the Flower Parade, one of the highlights of the program, which will feature the participation of IPSS’s, Kindergartens and Basic Education Schools in the Municipality of Caminha.
