Coimbra City Council will support the holding of the Popular Fair in 2024, through exemption from payment of fees and the provision of human, material and logistical support worth a total of 17,192 euros.
The Popular Fair, organized by the Union of Parishes of Santa Clara and Castelo Viegas, returns this year to Parque da Canção, with the support of the Coimbra City Council, which recognizes the municipal interest in this already common event, which will take place between June 28 and July 14th.
To calculate the exemption, the large amounts refer to the service of the Municipal Police Department (5,269 euros), the support of the Special Technical Equipment and Installations Division (4,800 euros), the Green Spaces and Gardens Division (2,571 euros) , from the Works and Administration Division (2,343 euros) and fees of 1,209 euros (Itinerant Venue License, Improvised Venue License and Special Noise License).
As for operators of non-sedentary catering and beverage units, it is stated in the service information, “they must present the Mere Prior Communication to carry out the activity, communicate the occupation of public space and pay the fees contained in the article 30 of the General Table of Municipal Fees annexed to the General Regulation of Municipal Fees and Prices”.
The proposal, after being approved at Monday’s Executive meeting, will be sent to the Municipal Assembly.
