Fontaines DC present new album “Romance” at Sagres Campo Pequeno

-

The Irish Fontaines DC have a new album in the pipeline titled Romance and will present it under their own name in Lisbon, at Sagres Campo Pequeno, on November 1st.

Scheduled for August 23rd, just a few days after performing at Vodafone Paredes de Coura 2024, Romance is the fourth studio album from the original Dublin band. The album builds on the sonic sensibilities the band began experimenting with on the previous album, Skinty Fiawhere the title track itself drew electronic influences from the British big beat movement but also from hip-hop.

Romance is born from an intense period of production with James Ford, a name linked to Arctic Monkeys and Blur, but above all from ideas of experimentation in Mexico, Spain and Los Angeles, guessing another step distinct from previous albums Dogrel (2019), A Hero’s Death (2020) and Skinty Fia (2022).

The band composed of Grian Chatten (vocals), Carlos O’Connell (guitar), Conor Curley (guitar), Conor Deegan III (bass) and Tom Coll (drums) will then give their first concert in Lisbon under their own name in the territory Portuguese, after the debut at the NOS Alive festival in 2022 and the confirmed presence in Paredes de Coura next August. The first half at Sagres Campo Pequeno, as on the entire European tour, will be for the English Wunderhorse.

Tickets for the concert will go on sale on May 3rd, however all subscribers of the newsletter from the responsible promoter, Everything Is New, will have access to the pre-sale of the show on May 2nd at 9am. Ticket prices are 35 euros for a standing audience and Stand B or 36 euros for Stand A in the room.
