ANDSpain is at serious risk of being removed from the organization of the 2030 World Championship, after the Superior Sports Council (CSD) announced the creation of a Supervision, Standardization and Representation Commission, with the aim of protecting the Royal Federation Spanish Football Association (RFEF).
According to information provided, this Monday, by the newspaper To theFIFA is following with particular attention what can be considered a case of political interference by Pedro Sánchez’s government within the body that governs football in the neighboring country, something that goes against the regulations.
FIFA, remember, will only formally approve the joint candidacy to host the biggest national team football tournament on the planet at the Extraordinary Congress next December, and, according to the publication, within it, there are those who believe that Portugal and Morocco can perfectly remain alone in planning.
The assistance of Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay (countries that will host the inaugural games) to what is the only candidate for the organization of the 2030 World Cup could, moreover, be considered fundamental, if one chooses to ‘scratch’ a once and for all, Spain of the documents already presented.
However, the risks do not end there, since UEFA itself does not rule out the possibility of sanctioning the country with the removal of its clubs and national teams from all the competitions it organizes, as is the case, for example, of the Champions League and European Championship.
