The Algarve Cybersecurity Competence Center (CCCAlgarve) will be officially launched next Monday, May 6, in a ceremony that starts at 9:30 am, in the Teresa Gamito Auditorium of the University of Algarve, on the Gambelas Campus.

This Center, which is the result of a consortium composed of the University of Algarve, NERA – Business Association of the Algarve Region and the Algarve Intermunicipal Community (AMAL), is integrated into the C-Network Project, which is promoted by GNSCNCS (Office National SecurityNational Cybersecurity Center) and benefits from funding from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).

According to the University of Algarve, the Cybersecurity Competence Center’s main mission is to “develop and boost response capacity and resilience to cybersecurity threats in the Algarve, through supporting public and private entities in the region in adopting good practices in this matter”.

At the ceremony, the presentation of C-Network will be in charge of Miguel Alves, from the National Cybersecurity Center.

Pedro Mendonça, from the CNCS Cybersecurity Observatory, will present the “Society Report”.

At 11:00 am, Júlio Fernandes, from UAlg, presents the Algarve Cybersecurity Competence Center.
