It is this Wednesday that Rio Ave FC begins to celebrate its 85th anniversary.

On May 1, 2024, we mark exactly 40 years since the Rioavistas’ first final in the Portuguese Cup, in 1984.

To remember the feat, we invited the entire squad, coaches and directors from that time to celebrate these 40 years with us with the inauguration of an exhibition relating to that golden moment in green and white history.

On Wednesday, during the morning, in an event restricted to guests due to the physical limitations of our headquarters, the exhibition will be officially opened on the 1st floor of the Rio Ave FC headquarters, in Praça da República, accessible to the public, free of charge, from 3pm. From then until May 10th, you can visit that space between 10am and 1pm and 3pm and 7pm.

In this exhibition you will find objects alluding to Rio Ave FC’s participation in the 1984 final at Jamor, news from the time in digital and paper form, an official merchandising point of sale, photographs or even a multimedia space with testimonies from most of those who lived and starred, in the first person, on May 1, 1984.

We invite all Rio fans and football supporters in general to visit the exhibition until May 10th.

Closing the first day of celebrations, we reenacted the duel from 40 years ago between Rio Ave FC and FC Porto in a meeting of veterans scheduled to start at 6:30 pm, at Campo Sintético number 1 of the Rio Ave FC Academy. The game is free to enter.
