Ovibeja, which takes place from April 30th to May 5th, has one more day this year. A bonus for your 40th birthday that includes a day of free entry. On May 2nd – Beja Day – access is free to all event initiatives, including the evening concert, as a result of a partnership between the Ovibeja organization and the local City Council.

The initiatives on this day, as on all others, are many and for all ages. In addition to the various colloquiums, there are also several sporting activities, dog shows, shearing demonstrations, concerts on the Filhos da Terra Stage, and the main concert with a performance by The Lucky Duckies, the Portuguese band that revisits some of the best-known musical classics with inspiration Swing-Jazz, Bolero, Country Music, Rock’n’Roll.

Many initiatives will also take place on this day for the youngest, such as activities with wool “from the sheep to the ball”, “shearer for a day”, small rescuers, a musical performance by students from the Baixo Alentejo Regional Conservatory, a workshop cooking, acrobatic gymnastics, among many other activities and points of interest, such as the Livestock Pavilion where around 400 sheep, cattle, pigs and goats will be present.

The 40th Ovibeja, whose main theme is Associativism, also has as points of interest two main exhibitions that are part of the event’s anniversary celebrations: “40 YEARS 40 STORIES” AND “40 YEARS 40 IMAGES” which can be seen in the Pavilion Fertile Land.

Ovibeja is an organization of ACOS – Southern Farmers Association.
