Air Base No. 22, in Beja, is preparing to host the second edition of the Beja Air Show, on the 1st and 2nd of June. This event promises to bring to Alentejo the dynamism and excitement of aerial acrobatics, reminiscent of Maverick’s maneuvers in the iconic film “Top Gun”.

The festival, which is open to the public and free, will offer a wide range of attractions, from impressive aerial demonstrations to interactive exhibitions. Among this year’s highlights are international participation with aircraft such as the “Mirage 2000 Couteau Delta” from the Portuguese Air Force, the “SAAB JAS 39 Gripen” from Hungary, and the “Patrouille Suisse” from Switzerland.

In addition to dynamic displays in the sky, visitors will be able to enjoy immersive experiences that include static aircraft displays, flight baptisms, virtual reality and flight simulators. The full schedule will be announced shortly on the event’s official website.

Celebrating the history of the Air Force, the Beja Air Show, which in its last edition attracted more than 100 thousand spectators, promises to be a memorable event, full of pirouettes, loops and inverted flights, providing a free and unique show for all enthusiasts of aviation.
