This Sunday, May 5th, marks Mother’s Day and the Viana do Castelo City Council has prepared a program that aims to encourage good moments of interaction between mothers, children and families, designed for the Urban Ecological Park and access free.
Thus, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, a PhotoBooth will be available, so that mothers and children can take a photographic record of the day, face painting and a treasure hunt.
At 11 am, there will be a Story Time by O Bicho Papelão, a story-telling trio. Between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm, board games will be promoted and, at 5:30 pm, a musical moment by Escola Amadeus. The day ends at 6:30 pm, with meditative concerts by RelaxArt.
Registration is open for two free workshops: Kokedamas, an art form in Japanese gardens, from 10am to 3pm; Loggerheads in paper pulp, also from 10am to 3pm. Registration is limited, via email [email protected], and can be made until the start of the activity (or until available places are exhausted).
If the weather conditions are adverse for outdoor activities, the Viana do Castelo City Council will have alternative spaces, within the Urban Ecological Park and the Environmental Monitoring and Interpretation Center (CMIA), for the Kokedamas and Cabeçudos workshops, in the same schedules.
This is yet another activity that aims to boost the Viana do Castelo Urban Ecological Park, located around the water mirror provided by the Azenhas de D. Prior caldera, occupying around 20 hectares in the middle of the city.
