The 3rd Penacova School and Professional Guidance Fair opened its doors today at the Aniceto Simões Pavilion, in Penacova, with the presence of hundreds of students and two dozen universities, polytechnic institutes, groups of schools, professional schools, the Army, GNR and Air Force.
In the opinion of the Mayor of Penacova, Álvaro Coimbra, “this is an investment in the new generations who are looking for a path to their professional future”.
“We managed to bring together, in this third edition of the fair, a very significant group of institutions, from various regions of the country, with a multiple training offer. In the same space, it was possible to bring together universities, polytechnic institutes, professional schools and even the Army, Air Force and GNR. We are very pleased with the participation of students who can have their first contact with a new reality here”, added the mayor.
During the day there were several lectures on training and professional offers, showcooking, demonstrations of research projects, among others.
Simultaneously with the School and Professional Guidance Fair, the 2nd Youth Forum took place, which included an open session of the Municipal Youth Council, with the presence of the municipal executive, and a “Parents School”, which was attended by students in the 9th and 12th years.
In the evening, the School Merit Awards were presented to the best students from the Penacova Group and Schools.
