Daniel Anjorin, a 14-year-old boy, was killed in a sword attack in Hainault, London, on Tuesday morning. In that same attack, the man injured four other people, including two police officers, according to the TheMirror.
According to the newspaper, a friend of the young man revealed that he was going to meet him to watch an Arsenal football game. He describes him as “the best Messi”. Cyan Thompson, 19, says Daniel was a “very good person” who always put a smile on other people’s faces.
“He was small, but very smart. He was a very determined guy. I supported Man City and he supported Arsenal, it was a good rivalry”, reveals Cyan.
Cyan further explains that he saw his friend the day before his death and that, therefore, he wonders what purpose a person causes the death of another in this way. “He was a good person on his way to school and then someone does that. For what purpose?”, she says.
A family friend also states that the boy “was loved by many people, as he was a fantastic boy, good at studies and the sports he played”.
“The family is in shock. He was such a young boy who was taken away from his family. It’s heartbreaking,” he adds.
Bancroft’s School, the school Daniel attended, said in a statement that they were “devastated by the heartbreaking news of his death.” “Daniel joined Bancroft’s at the age of seven and quickly became an essential member of our community. His positive spirit and kind nature will leave a lasting impact on us. The loss of such a young student is something we will always have difficult to deal with.”
“Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Daniel’s family during this time,” they added.
