Beneath the starry sky, and until July 13th, the ruins of Carmo, in Lisbon, will once again be transformed into a three-dimensional canvas for the show Lisbon Under Stars.

For 45 minutes, an immersive journey through the History of Portugal is projected onto the ancient ruins, including the Battle of Aljubarrota, the Age of Discoveries, the 1755 earthquake and the 25th of April revolution. The show is divided into 12 chapters and features several special effects and the performance of a team of dancers. “All these acts involve meticulous research work, after searching for actors, recording, to tell a story”, explained Sandra Árisa, from the Ocubo studio in conversation with DN.

The new show was, in fact, created from scratch by the Ocubo studio. “We have been doing these types of projects for 20 years. This new way of telling History has been well received by the public. There are theaters, cinemas and lots of monuments but there is no show like ours on this scale. We have always had immense demand. For this reason, we wanted to create a unique show, an author’s creation, and contribute to another offer for those who visit Lisbon”, he stated.
