Seminar is aimed at producers, technicians, students and all those whose professional activity is carried out around sustainable production methods.
In the year in which Cartaxo is City of Wine 2024, a distinction it shares with Santarém, Almeirim and Alpiarça, the municipality will host a seminar that brings together technicians, institutions and wine producers from Alentejo, Ribatejo and the Setúbal Peninsula. On May 8th, Wednesday, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, the Quinta das Pratas Municipal Auditorium, in Cartaxo, will host the Viticulture and Sustainability Seminar. The initiative is part of the Wine City 2024 program and its central objective is to reflect and inform about the challenges faced by the adequate protection and use of soil in the vineyard ecosystem.
Climatic forecasts and the relevance of soil in the context of climate change are the focus of the seminar, aimed at producers, technicians, students and all those whose professional activity is carried out around sustainable production methods. The seminar will also feature the presentation of success stories in the area of viticulture.
Seminar is co-organized by Cartaxo City Council and Agrosustentável and has the support of the Tejo Regional Wine Commission (CVR Tejo).
