Rooftop at Mama Shelter Lisboa: there are new and delicious meals with views over the city

Because, at Mama, the sky is (really) the limit, spring brings new things to the rooftop: extended opening hours, a reinforced menu and new cocktails to fuel the iconic nights of dancing and entertainment

It’s time to enjoy the sun’s rays that bring with them the warmth of spring. The ideal place to do this is on the ninth floor of 19 Rua do Vale do Pereiro. With one of the best views of Lisbon, the rooftop Mama Shelter presents more news at the end of the month.

Enjoying a stunning view is the watchword and, at Mama, the panoramic view covers the city’s main icons, from São Jorge Castle to the 25 de Abril Bridge, passing through Cristo Rei and the Estrela Basilica. This unique landscape transforms the rooftop into a must-see must visit in capital.

From April 22nd, opening hours have been extended: from Monday to Friday, from 12pm to 3:30pm (for lunch) and from 4pm to 10:30pm. On Saturday, the rooftop opens at 11am and brunch is served until 4pm. Sunday hours are from 4:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Dinner is served from Monday to Sunday until 10pm. As usual, entertainment is ensured with DJ sets from Thursday to Saturday, from 7pm to 10pm.

Dining on the rooftop also brings new features. Saturday brunch has three options – Salmon, Rosbeef or Veggie – to enjoy without rushing. At lunch, during the week, there is a Menu of the Day, Polvo Menu or Healthy Menu. But some national and international snacks are also available, already common on Mama’s menu, such as Scallops, Burrata Salad and Salmon Tartar. At dinner, the menu now has new hot dishes that serve as a gateway to long nights of dancing on the rooftop. The two Tacos Lovers options – Shredded pork with pickles, barbecue and sweet chili sauce or Panko Shrimp with arugula and sweet chili sauce – and the Tartar Trio – Steak, Salmon and Tuna with toast and oriental sauce – can be enjoyed in an atmosphere of party on the warm days of Lisbon spring. Among the new offerings, there are also oysters and vegetarian options, such as vegetable gyozas.

As for cocktails, the debut is the Mama Mia (Bombay Shapphire, Elderflower, Martini Bitter, Cointreau and Hibiscus), the Day ‘N’ Nite (Bacardi Rum, Strawberry, Pineapple Juice, Schweppes Citrus) and the Loose Yourself ( Pisco, Elderflower, Creme de Mure, Lime and Egg White). For fans of Mocktails, there are also new products: Hey Jude (Apple, Basil, Lemon, Vanilla and Egg White), Shake it Off (Vibrante Martini, Cranberry, Lime, Grenadine, Cinnamon and Raspberry) and Dream On ( Passion fruit, peach, lemon and quinine). New protagonists with musical names to live up to the lively evenings expected on the rooftop of Mama Shelter Lisboa.

Finally, every Wednesday, starting in May, it will be possible to get a Mama Tattoo, which is temporary, but makes it possible to carry the incomparable Mama spirit for a few more days on your skin.
