Publicly recognizing the merit of citizens and entities from Braga who have stood out in important actions in favor of the community, the municipality, the region or the country has been, since the first edition, the objective of the ‘A Nossa Terra’ Awards, a initiative promoted by Direnor.
The 27th edition of the ‘A Nossa Terra’ Awards will take place on May 16th, at Fui Braga, with a gala presented by Mónica Araújo and André Vilar.
The reception begins at 8:30 pm, with the participation of the Mozart Hall, and the doors to the large auditorium open at 9 pm for a gala that maintains the traditional costume of contemplating a cultural soirée, in addition to the presentation of 20 awards.
Entry is free, by collecting an invitation at the Braga Tourism Office or at the Direnor facilities, and tickets can also be requested by email to the organizing entity.
At the presentation of the 27th edition of the Awards, Olga Menezes highlighted that a rule established since the first edition continues to be complied with according to which a winner cannot receive the award again in the same category.
The rule is also valid for the cultural soirée, which features diverse performances by names that have never stepped onto the stage at this gala. Thus, in this edition the ceremony will be enhanced by the performances of Arcada & Paganinis Ensaemble – Conservatório Bomfim; Ent’Artes – Dance School; Heralds of the Gospel; Augustuna – Academic Tuna from the University of Minho, Bombar´t, Mariana Dalot and Salão Mozart – Acoustic Guitar.
Olga Menezes also said that this edition’s winners are being determined through a voting process that took place in three phases and involved around 50 thousand voting operations. If in the 1st edition the jury was made up of 125 people or entities, there are close to 640 personalities and entities that voted.
