More than a dozen Palestinians died this Thursday following Israeli air and artillery attacks in areas north and south of the Gaza Strip, according to the Wafa agency.

At least six Gazans were killed overnight in Israeli shelling in the town of al-Zahraa, north of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, while rescue teams found three more lifeless bodies after identical attacks in northwest of the camp, adds the Palestinian news agency Wafa, controlled by Hamas.

In the southern area of Khan Younis, a Gazan was killed and several people were injured in Israeli shelling in the Qaa al Qurain area, southeast of the city.

“The areas of Bani Suhaila, Abbasan and Khuzaa, east of the city, were also the target of heavy bombing by Israeli warplanes,” declared Wafa, without referring to possible victims.

In Gaza City, at least two people were killed in the bombing of a residential building belonging to the Ishteiwi family, in the al-Zaytun neighborhood, in the south of the city, which, according to the same source, left several bodies under the rubble.

The Israeli Army said this Thursday that it had attacked armed militia groups, as well as infrastructure and tunnels in the center of the Palestinian enclave, where, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health, controlled by Hamas, more than 34,500 people have died.

In a statement, the Army stated that it was attacked on Wednesday by “several launches aimed at troops” also in the central zone, which provoked an air attack in response and an artillery attack against “the opening of an operational tunnel and a mortar launch station”, details the text.
