Faro promotes 2nd edition of Nautical Week

Initiative aimed at residents and visitors runs from May 6th to 12th

The Municipality of Faro, the coordinating entity of the Faro Nautical Station, will once again promote, between the 6th and 12th of May, the Faro Nautical Week.

This event, which will have its second edition this year, aims to publicize and promote the activities offered by Estação Náutica’s partners to residents or visitors of the most varied age groups.

The event program includes different activities aimed at families, the school community, but also seniors in the municipality, with special conditions for participation.

Among others, participants will have the opportunity to get to know the existing tourist offer, through experiences such as boat trips, canoeing, sailing, surfing or stand up paddle lessons, as well as gastronomic experiences, kitesurfing baptisms, exhibitions, visits to museums and the Cabo de Santa Maria lighthouse or even awareness raising activities.

At the same time, some tourist accommodation units have special conditions throughout this week.

The Faro Nautical Station presents itself as a cooperation platform between more than 60 partners, public and private, which ensure the offer of a tourist product based on a network of quality nautical tourism, organized based on the valorization of the nautical resources present. in the territory (accommodation, restaurants, nautical activities, training and others relevant to attracting tourists and other users).
