Tat just 4.41 meters long, but will be able to carry seven people. The Renault Symbioz is the French brand’s new bet for families. This new model can be ordered from the summer and the first units arrive in Portugal in September, although prices are not known.
The Symbioz uses the same platform as the Clio, Arkana and Captur, the CMF-B, and will only be available with a hybrid engine.
This family SUV combines a four-cylinder gasoline engine with a capacity of 1.6 liters and two electric motors, one for traction and the other for starting. Total power is 145 hp. As for the battery that equips the Symbioz, it has a capacity of 1.2 kWh.
With 29 driving aids, one of the highlights of this model is the panoramic roof. Solarbay and the rear seat sliding rail that allows them to move 16 centimeters. There is no lack of interior space and proof of this is also in the boot capacity, which varies between 492 liters and 624 liters, depending on the position of the rear seat.
As for the design of the Symbioz, it’s best to let the person responsible for designing this model speak for himself.
“It combines sensual volumes and dynamic character lines, treated with precision. Combined in a balanced silhouette, the Symbioz exudes strength and technical sophistication, whilst promising a practical and spacious experience,” said Gilles Vidal, Renault’s design director.
