More than 140 photographic records of smiles from professionals at Braga Hospital were presented in the photographic exhibition that opened to the public today, as part of the International Day of Happiness, celebrated in March.
The initiative, promoted by the Braga Hospital Professional Support Office, is the result of the ‘Capture the Best Smile of a Colleague Next to You’ competition, which challenged employees to immortalize moments of joy and complicity at work.
“The Professional Support Office values the development of activities that promote the sense of belonging, team spirit and well-being of all ULS Braga employees”, stated Sílvia Oliveira, coordinator of the Professional Support Office.
“This competition was launched on Happiness Day, with the aim of challenging people to create moments where a smile was present. In the end, the results are very positive, with more than 140 photographs from 43 employees who took on this creativity challenge. The photographs perfectly illustrate that many colleagues created moments to make someone smile and, for that reason alone, it was worth it. To take care of others, it is important to take care of our own”, concluded Sílvia Oliveira.
The organization of this exhibition is, for the Professional Support Office, “an important initiative to promote well-being in the workplace and highlight the importance of a smile in contributing to a positive and pleasant environment among teams. The photographs, taken by professionals from Braga Hospital, reveal the complicity, dedication and passion that employees dedicate to their colleagues and users of the institution”.
Domingos Sousa, president of the Board of Directors of Hospital de Braga, assured that “it was with great satisfaction that he saw the opening of the exhibition of more than 140 photographs of the institution’s employees’ smiles”, recognizing “the importance of a positive and healthy, and welcomed the existence of initiatives like this competition, which are fundamental to promoting cohesion and team spirit among professionals”.
