“Creative RSIclagem” opens tomorrow, at 4 pm, at Casa da Ribeira. Exhibition on recycling shows work promoted by the teams from Rendimento Social de Inserção de Viseu
As part of a project developed by the Viseu Social Insertion Income Teams, namely Cáritas Diocesana de Viseu, Casa do Povo de Abraveses and Centro Social e Paroquial de São José, in collaboration with the Municipality of Viseu, Casa da Ribeira hosts the exhibition “RSIclagem Criativa”.
The inauguration is scheduled for tomorrow, May 3rd, at 4 pm, and will be attended by the Councilor for Culture and Tourism of Viseu City Council, Leonor Barata.
The exhibition consists of several works created using recycled materials, such as CDs, cardboard, toilet paper rolls, fabrics, eggshells, paints, plastic corks, sticks, bottles, wool, among others, and by the hands of twelve beneficiaries of the RSI (Social Insertion Income) measure, accompanied by the aforementioned teams.
This project aims to raise awareness of the importance of recycling, as well as raise awareness of environmental conservation and reducing waste in landfills. No less important, it also aims to combat sedentary lifestyle, promote self-esteem and interpersonal relationships and sharing of those involved in this project.
The exhibition can be visited between May 3rd and 17th, 2024.
