Milestone: Approved contract for the second phase of the Requalification of the Municipal Road in Banho and Carvalhosa

The Municipal Council of Marco de Canaveses approved the award of the contract for ‘Requalification of Part of Municipal Road 569 | Phase B’, in the parish of Banho and Carvalhosa. The work, worth 793 thousand euros, has an execution period of 365 days.

After the consignment, the contract will, according to the municipality, “allowing an additional 67 homes to be connected to public water and sanitation networks”as well as “requalify the main road in that parish”.

The work envisages the execution of the second phase of the wastewater drainage network and a water distribution network, with the aim of eliminating a number of underground water collections and septic tanks. “The construction of wastewater collectors, a wastewater pumping station and a rainwater drainage network are also included. The requalification of Municipal Road (EM) 569 is also planned, with the road being paved with bituminous carpet.”was mentioned.

Remember that the city council had already carried out a first intervention in EM 569, in which it made an investment of 585 thousand euros, to build 51 water supply and wastewater branches. With this project, the financial investment, in the parish of Banho and Carvalhosa, will exceed 1 million and 300 thousand euros, to allow the connection of a total of 118 houses to the public water and sanitation networks.
