Quinta do Morgadinho, in Vilamoura, is the location chosen by a Portuguese fund management company to develop a real estate project costing 700 million euros, the developer announced today.

Bondstone has an area of 68 hectares in this area of the Algarve, where it plans to build the Arcaya Homes project, which will feature, in the first phase, 48 ‘premium’ villas, built with a model focused on environmental sustainability and which will be launched on the market for prices starting at 1.9 million euros, the promoter said in a statement.

The company said that the “first phase involves the construction of 48 villas with an area of 240 square meters [m2] inserted in lots with areas between 1,000 m2 and 2,000 m2”, estimating a deadline of 12 months for completion.

“Inserted in a 68-hectare forest, Arcaya Homes, designed by Battleiroig [gabinete de arquitetura espanhol] They are built following innovative practices focused on preserving ecosystems, with wooden structures and off-site construction”, highlighted the real estate developer.

The objective is to achieve “minimization of ecological impact in all phases of the project” to provide future residents with “an unprecedented experience of comfort and immersion in nature”.

Quoted in the note, Bondstone’s operations director, Frederico Pedro Nunes, considered that the project reflects a “new perspective on sustainability and architecture”, classifying it as “a pioneering approach”, which redefines “sustainability standards in the real estate sector and the carbon footprint in the construction sector”.

The project envisages the construction of houses of three types – Terracotta, Timber and Sand – with two floors and up to four bedrooms, outdoor areas, gardens and terraces, private pool, living and dining area, added the developer.

The creation of a club, restaurants and ‘wellness center’ is also planned, and residents will have “a wide range of essential services for daily life”, such as grocery stores and laundry.

“Living in Arcaya will be like living in a natural oasis in the Algarve, where unique houses with sustainable design blend harmoniously into an infinite garden, and where we have everything at our fingertips”, said Frederico Pedro Nunes.
