Detained by the PJ, Portuguese student orders massacres in schools in Brazil

The student is responsible for a series of crimes, including a completed murder and several attempted murders.

A young 17-year-old Portuguese student is suspected of, from the house where he lives with his parents, and through social networks on the internet, creating a community where he assumed himself as leader and instigated the practice of massacres in schools in Brazil, which ordered other young people. In one of the four cases in which he participated, CNN Portugal found, he caused a 15-year-old boy to invade a school in Sapopemba, São Paulo, and murder a 17-year-old girl at close range, with a gun shot to the head. . The attack, last October, left three other minors injured. The author of the crimes, Portuguese, was arrested in the last few hours by the Judiciary Police.

The operation is carried out by the PJ’s Counterterrorism Unit, with the support of the cybercrime combat unit, which identified the young man in Portugal through the address of the computer used. He hid his identity through different “usernames”. The student is responsible for a series of crimes, including a completed murder and several attempted murders. The PJ investigation is coordinated with the Public Ministry at DIAP in Lisbon.

After the attack in the state of São Paulo that left the whole of Brazil in shock, the young Portuguese recruited new followers – inspired by the first massacre. And there were attempted armed attacks, with the aim of killing students and teachers, by three young people, at different times, in other states in that country. All the crimes were committed on Portuguese orders – and ended up being stopped at the limit, without causing more victims, by the Brazilian authorities who were alerted to the combinations made on the internet.

Everyone involved shares a fascination with the phenomenon of “mass shooting” – indiscriminate massacres in school environments –, which claims dozens of victims every year in the United States.
