Air Base nº11 in Beja will soon host two multinational exercises simultaneously.
According to the Portuguese Air Force, from May 22nd to June 5th, this base will host the RealThaw 2024 and HotBlade 2024 exercises.
Through these exercises, techniques, tactics and procedures from national and international forces will be put into practice with the aim of improving and increasing interoperability between participants.
The exercise RealThaw allows you to evaluate and certify the operational capabilities of the Air Force, and train with NATO allies. Now the Exercise HotBlade has the general objective of increasing the interoperability of operations between EDA Member States, exposing participating forces to a complex operational environment, in which they can train techniques, tactics and procedures, preparing them for current theaters of conflict and support missions humanitarian.
It should be noted that the two exercises to be carried out at the Beja Air Base will take place at the same time as the Beja Airshow, the largest air festival taking place on the 1st and 2nd of June and where more than 100 thousand people are expected.
With intense activity, “adrenaline” and movement will not be lacking in the skies of Beja!
